Celebrating the heritage of immigrants in NYC Authors, Books, Photos, Videos, Music and Songs April 16, 2011 ~ Queens Museum of Art ~ 1pm – 7pm On Saturday evening, April 16 will be a “meeting of cultures through art” and will involve authors, photographers, artists and music billboard, sponsored by the Civic Council of Guayaquil organization NY, as part of the Immigrant Heritage Week 2011 established by Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York. Meeting with five authors

A panel with authors Gustavo Arango, Jacqueline Donado, Alex Lima, Jorge Ivan Mora and Dora Przybylek will be held Thursday December 11 from five in the afternoon at the Queens Museum of Art The event is open to the public who will have the opportunity chat with the authors and visit the Museum. There will be Trolley service – tourist bus – to collect guests from the station of the 7 Train. The first output of the bus will be at 4:30 pm. See you there! Poetry Theater and Literature at the Park

Saturday June 16 was a cultural day in the Moore Homestead Park in Queens. There were several bands, a piece of live theater, storytelling, children’s art workshop, poetry evening and a donation of books to public libraries in Colombia, received by officials of the Colombian consulate in New York. The Consul General of Colombia in New York, Francisco Noguera Rocha, visited the park and was at the time of installation of the table of the consulate.
